Information You Provide

When you create an account, place an order, or contact us, we collect information you voluntarily provide, including your name, email address, phone number, delivery address, date of birth (for age verification), and payment information. Payment card details are processed directly by Stripe and are never stored on our servers. When you sign in using Google authentication, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google as part of the OAuth sign-in process.

Information Collected Automatically

When you use Bottl.Service, we automatically collect certain information, including your IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages visited, referring URLs, and the date and time of your visit. We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to maintain your session, remember your cart, and improve your experience. When you place an order, your shipping address and parcel information is transmitted to EasyPost, Inc. (our shipping rate and label partner) to calculate shipping costs and generate shipping labels.

Age Verification

Illinois law requires that all purchasers of alcoholic beverages be 21 years of age or older. We collect and verify your age at the time of account creation and require adult signature upon delivery. Age verification data is retained as required by applicable law.

We use the information we collect to: process and fulfill your orders; process pre-order payments at the time of fulfillment using payment methods saved at checkout with your authorization; verify your age and identity; communicate with you about your orders, account, and promotions; improve and personalize your experience on Bottl.Service; comply with Illinois liquor laws and other applicable regulations; detect and prevent fraud or misuse of our platform; and respond to your inquiries and support requests.

Licensed Retailer

All alcoholic beverage sales are made by Famous Wine & Spirits (Ghotra Spirits LLC), our licensed Illinois retail dealer. Your order information, including name, delivery address, and age verification, is shared with Famous Wine & Spirits as required to complete your purchase under Illinois law.

Fulfillment & Shipping

We share your delivery information with DISTRYB, EasyPost Inc., and our shipping carriers (UPS and FedEx) solely for the purpose of fulfilling and delivering your order. EasyPost acts as our shipping API provider and generates carrier labels on our behalf.

Payment Processing

Payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. Your payment information is transmitted directly to Stripe and is subject to Stripe's privacy policy. We do not store full card numbers or CVV codes.

Authentication

If you sign in using Google, your authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication (Google Identity Platform). We receive only your name, email, and profile picture — we do not receive your Google password.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information when required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

No Sale of Personal Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations (including Illinois liquor law recordkeeping requirements), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Order records may be retained for a minimum of five (5) years as required by applicable law.

You may access, update, or correct your account information at any time through your account settings page. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us at accounts@distryb.com. Note that certain information may be retained as required by law even after account deletion. You may opt out of marketing emails by clicking "unsubscribe" in any marketing email we send. You cannot opt out of transactional emails related to your orders.

We use essential cookies to operate the platform (session management, cart persistence, age verification state). We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies. You can control cookie settings through your browser, but disabling essential cookies may affect platform functionality.

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption for data in transit, Firebase security rules for data access control, and Stripe's PCI-compliant payment infrastructure. Admin access to Bottl.Service's internal tools is protected by Firebase Authentication with Google sign-in and two-factor authentication (TOTP), restricted to authorized personnel only. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Bottl.Service is intended solely for users who are 21 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 21. If we become aware that we have collected information from a person under 21, we will delete that information immediately.

When you use our PROOF AI assistant, we store your queries and interactions to improve recommendations and personalize your experience. This includes the questions you ask, products you interact with, and whether you add recommended products to your cart. Anonymous queries are associated with a session ID stored in your browser and merged to your account upon sign-in. You may request deletion of your PROOF history by contacting us at privacy@bottlservice.com.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of Bottl.Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
